Canine Nannies

Our Foster Program. Puppies and dogs need a two-week quarantine before they're eligible for transfer to the Colorado shelters, and to be certain they are well before we offer them for adoption here. Those who need extra attention stay in foster care longer. You can help support this program by donating money using the button on the left, or by volunteering to foster.

We have 88 acres here, on a remote mesa South of Santa Fe, New Mexico, to buffer the barking and howling so that "neighbors" are not mad at us.  But pack membership in the "wild" is typically 6-8 individuals, not 20-30.

We cannot "fill" these 88 acres with dogs without greatly decreasing the quality of dog and human life.  Crowding of any species results in tension, fighting, depression, illness.

Even with the financial help we are generating, the sheer number of hurting animals far exceeds our physical/spiritual/emotional abilities to provide sanctuary and personal care.

We need foster homes, too. Additional concerned humans who can offer safe haven -- one animal at a time and just long enough to help them get back on their paws and connected with their very own humans.  From start to finish, we'll help in every way!

People say, and of course it's true, we can't save them all.  But with more help, dog by dog, we can put smiles on the fuzzy faces and wriggles in the walks of more than we're saving now.

If you live too far away to forster for Bridging The Worlds, please ask your local rescue groups how you can help. You can save a life!

You can make a difference by fostering an adult dog or puppies. Contact us to find out how.
